i should have launched this site to co-incide with the artemis II launch just a wee few days ago, but I’m only slightly off! anyways, it has been quite a journey to even get this far. the site itself is the least of obstacles - more the mindset of leaving the business world in my rear view mirror and focusing more on what is important - family and passion!

born in thailand to a danish mother and chinese father. complicated story, but my mother then raised me with an adoptive german father. i attended international schools in south korea for elementary and germany for secondary, then went on to england for university. my technology consulting career had me working projects across europe and this ultimately brought me to texas before I settled down in florida — but did have an interim multi-year stint in japan.
i connected with my passion during a very difficult time of my life, dragged on an adventure by my sister that by the end had me soul-searching. i needed to re-connect with what was important. i fell in love with the oceans while on a liveaboard on that trip, then with the nature in the air as I began to appreciate the enormous diversity of our feathered friends, and finally paid more attention to nature in my backyard in florida on land.
my sister convinced me to pick up a camera and capture what I saw and had come to love, and then to share it. i left the business world to combine my top passions - diving, wildlife photography, photo and video editing, and travel - to bring the love of nature closer to people. what is more important than the technical perfection of a photograph is to capture the essence of the experience, to bring back vivid emotions of that special moment, to never forget the beauty of the nature just witnessed. my goal is to eternalize those emotions with memories so people will always re-live the passion inspired by the wild. after all — we only protect what we love.
