create an ever lasting memory and re-live your trip of a lifetime through a custom personalized
photobook
why don’t I just make my own?
no problem at all - please do!
my photobooks are geared towards situations where
the experience was special and that unique memory needs to be captured with a story that needs to be told - something an automatically generated set of layouts can not do
you want the tailored memory but don’t have the photographs, the videos OR the time to make it as special as it deserves.
that’s where i come in.
it is a FOUR step process
step 1: agree on content source
should you be on a liveaboard or trip where i am present, we agree on
a generic photobook or
a personalized photobook
AND if you choose the latter,
your content only that you provide, and you upload to a dropbox or google drive site so I can see what I have to work with
include content from me SPECIFIC to that trip - if i was there
unlike other vendors, I do NOT include stock photos or reuse materials from other trips
if i was not present, we are obviously dealing with a personalized photobook where you supply all the content
step 2: tell me about your experience
this is the most fun part for me…
after i have seen what material i have to work with, we schedule time to talk via a video (or voice) call, where I want to hear from you what made this so special. this enables me to create a narrative into the photobook above and beyond the photos
a storyboard begins to form.
at this point — that i call the basline checkpoint — we agree on the pricing and i let you how long i think it will take, but indicative prices are shown below.
we lock into a fee to create a first storyboard
steps 2 & 3 often happen in the same meeting. we discuss what your budget looks like and based on that decide on
large or small
number of pages …
mini, medium or long
and… we discuss to include video creation with embedded links from the photobook… or not!
this is where i let you know what the final price estimate will be if you like the first storyboard and we think step 4 will work
step 3: pick the size and format
step 4: create, review, and go to press!
i work hard to create a photobook draft and typically within a week, and we plan for up to three review checkpoints
checkpoint 1: you give me a general impression and the what you like and don’t like. i fully expect some level of major re-dos
checkpoint 2: similar review, except if you don’t like it this time, we agree to abandon the project and all you pay me is the first storyboard fee
checkpoint 3: we know you like it, so this time it is about minor adjustments.
i then send you a final review and you say yay or nay, and we create the final printed photobook. if we agreed something and it was not done, we repeat with no additional cost. if you have new changes, we price each additional review cycle as an add-on until you are satisfied.
